Disney World

We went to the Magic Kingdom on Wednesday of our week in Orlando. We had an awesome time. All of the kids we so good and the lines we not long at all. It couldn't have been a much better day. We were able to go on all of the rides that we wanted to and Kaden is now tall enough to go on every ride in Magic Kingdom. Kaden and Isabelle were very brave and went on Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, and Thunder Mountain. Emmy even got to go on her first roller coaster in Toon Town.

It was the highlight of Emmy's day to meet Aurora, Cinderella, and Belle!!

We had such a great time that I can't wait to go back. Next time we visit I would like to go to Hollywood Studios too.

More Florida Pics

We took so many pictures in Florida that I decided to make it into a slideshow so that I can post them all. Enjoy!

Perry is 11 months!

Perry got to celebrate turning 11 months at Disney World! There really isn't too much new with Perry. His two bottom teeth are still working on poking through and he is still just scooting around on his tummy and butt. His favorite pass time is playing peekaboo and telling detailed stories while he talks with his hands. He loves to eat and would stay in his highchair all day eating if I let him.

Evan is home

Evan was discharged from the hospital this afternoon. He is doing great and resting at home.

Update on Evan

My brother Evan had surgery today to drain his glands. The surgery went well but he will be in ICU for awhile. Please keep in your prayers and I will post any updates.

Prayers for Evan

Tonight my brother Evan was admitted to Devos Children's Hospital because of a swollen gland. He had to be transferred in an ambulance from Grand Haven Hospital to G.R. so that they can do surgery and drain the swollen gland. The worst part is that my parents are here in Florida, along with us, and my grandparents. The first flight that my mom was able to get home was on early Wednesday morning. Thankfully my other brother, Roman arrived home early from Colorado today and we have a big extended family that is taking good care of him now. So remember Evan in your prayers!!

A Beach Bum, Beach Babe, and a Beach Baby

We had a great time while we were in Siesta Key. The weather was beautiful and we had several good beach and boating days. My friend Kristen had bought these really cute t-shirts for the kids, so I attempted to take pictures of them at the beach. We went to the beach after dinner and watched the sunset and took a couple of pictures.

Florida Highlights

Everyone was sporting their green on St. Patrick's Day. We celebrated by having green beer for Chris and I and green milk for the kiddos.

We also went to the aquarium yesterday. Kaden loved every minute of it!!

We spent Sunday at the beach. We had a great time! Kaden and Emerson loved swimming in the ocean and jumping the waves.

Perry wasn't so sure about the sand. I don't think that he liked when it washed out from
under him.
Today we are off to go boating and hopefully say hi to "Beggar" the dolphin that hangs out in the intercoastal right around here. Maybe I'll be able to capture a picture of him.

We made it!

We are now in sunny Florida!! The trip went way better than expected. All three kids did really well. Since we left at 5am both days, we were able to drive the first 4 hours without stopping. The kids didn't go back to sleep like I was hoping but they were pretty tired and content since it was still dark out. The kids watched a lot of movies!! I had planned all sorts of other things to do with them but watching movies and reading books was about all they wanted to do.

We stopped about 1/2 way in Chattanoga for the night. We got there early enough that we were able to go out to dinner downtown and spend some time in the pool.

The kids loved the shuttle that took you around downtown.

The bags are packed....

The bags are packed and the van is ready to head to sunny Florida tomorrow. I am sure that it will be quite the adventure driving all the way to Florida with a 5 year old, 3 year old, and a 10 month old. We are planning to drive to Chattanooga tomorrow and then on to Siesta Key on Saturday. We have lots and lots of DVDs, toys, coloring books, books, snacks, games, and anything else I might need to entertain them on a 22 hour drive (including lots of surprises). I am sure that there will be a lot to blog about when I get home in a couple weeks.

Baby Shower for Mrs. Kett

On Friday, we threw a surprise baby shower for Kaden's teacher. She was completely surprised! We snuck in the classroom while the class was out at recess and decorated the room. When the class came in from recess, we had cake and Mrs. Kett opened all of her presents. Everything turned out really well and we all had a great time. She is scheduled to have her second baby boy on March 27th.

Meet Mr. Snowman

Obviously these pictures didn't happen recently. All we have had lately is rain, rain, and more rain. At least the kids have cute raincoats this year and they have definitely been used a lot lately (that reminds me I should get pictures of them in their cute raincoats). It took me all winter to finally get some pictures of the kids outside. It took almost the whole winter for Emmy to stay outside long enough to realize that it can be fun to play in the snow.

They created "Mr. Snowman", with the help of Daddy. Although they weren't too creative with the name, I think that they did a good job with the snowman.
