Kaden is a Safetytown graduate!

Kaden graduated from safetytown this morning after two weeks of attending everyday. Although he was already an authority on safety, he learned more about fire, water, car, bike, playground, and stranger safety. Kaden attended safetytown with his good friend JD.

Muskegon Summer Celebration

Last night we headed out to Muskegon to see Joe Cocker and Steve Miller Band in concert. We had a great time. The kids entertained everyone around us with their dancing. We discovered that Emerson really has some moves! Perry slept for most of the concerts after receiving his shots earlier in the day. Joe Cocker put on a great show but Steve Miller Band was a little disappointing. He was promoting a new album so he sang a lot from it and not his hits that we wanted to hear. The kids can't wait to go back to Muskegon next week for more concerts and some carnival rides!

Perry is 2 months!

Perry turned 2 months on Wednesday. I got a smile out of him in the limited happy time with have with him. He went to the doctor yesterday and weighed in at 10lbs 15 1/2 ounces (30%) and was 22 inches (25%). So, he is a little guy but the doctor said that he looks great. Dr. Mackinder said that he doesn't have official colic (he said that he would have to cry everyday all day for it to be colic) but that he is just fussy. He said that hopefully the crying at night will be done at around 3 months. We can't wait for that!! Luckily I get to stay home with him so I can enjoy his happy times during the day!

Day Out w/ Grandma

So, the weather hasn't exactly been agreeing with us on our Wednesday's with Grandma but we manage to have fun anyways. After Kaden got done with Safetytown, we went to Chuck e Cheeses. We hadn't been there in a very long time and the kids really enjoyed it. Emmy could not get the tokens fast enough. She was so into collecting her tickets, which was a lot different then the last time we were there when you didn't even have to give her any tokens. Afterwards we went to the park and then swimming. But we had to cut our swimming short when it started raining on us.

A Mini-Vacation

Yesterday we spent the day in Grand Haven and Spring Lake. It was a beautiful day! We walked the pier, went to the beach, ate ice cream, went swimming, and sat on the deck at Jack's for dinner. We even got to watch the fireworks from the heritage festival in my dad's driveway. This morning the kids went fishing. We ended up cutting our stay short and heading back to G.R. when the rain came in around lunch. Thanks Grandpap for letting us stay at your condo!!

A Day @ the Zoo

On Wednesday, Grandma treated the kids and I to a day at the zoo. After Kaden got out of Safetytown we headed to the John Ball Zoo to check out the new lions. Kaden has been asking for months when the lions are coming and they are finally here. We had a lot of fun at the zoo! The kids feed pelicans and birds and got to pet the stingrays. Grandma is going to take Wednesday's off from working this summer to hang out and do fun things with us. We are so glad that we get to spend more time with her!!

Summer Fun!

So far this summer we have had a lot of fun outtings. I thought that it might be hard to get out and do all of the fun things that we like to do in the summer with 3 kiddos but so far it has been great. Perry just usually tags along in the stroller or sling and the kids have gotten used to taking breaks from playing so that Perry can eat. Although Perry is a very fussy baby, he usually saves all of the crying for the afternoon and evening so we can have fun during the day. Here are some pictures from our adventures so far.

Trying out the blogging world!

I have been thinking about starting a blog for awhile now and have finally decided to take the plunge. Since I don't have a lot of time to scrapbook lately, I figure this way I can document all of our adventures and share it with family and friends that don't get to see us very often. I admit that I am not the best at keeping everyone up to date on the kiddos. So hopefully, it will be a little bit easier with this blog.
