Happy Birthday Perry!

Perry had a great birthday weekend and loved all the attention.  Both times that we sang happy birthday to him, he never stopped smiling.  He just kept looking at all of us with his big grin.  His second year of life was so much fun.  He transitioned from being such a fussy baby to a toddler that every Mother would want.  It seems like he went from baby sign language to 5 word sentences (although 1/2 of the time it is hard to figure out what he is saying).  He talks himself through everything he does, whether it is putting on his shoes or playing ball.  He LOVES to play any type of ball and I can see lots of sports in his future.  He loves milk and would drink it all day if I let him (just like his big brother) and will try most foods that you place in front of him.  As a result of that eating, he now weighs more than his 4 year old sister. You can commonly hear Perry telling knock-knock jokes in his crib to his stuffed animals and over and over and over again in the back of the van.  He has already started asking "why" questions constantly which is starting to drive me a little nuts.  The thing that everyone notices about Perry is his constant smile that is on his face.  He is just such a happy kid!  Although I am excited to see him growing older, it is bittersweet because I don't want my baby to grow up.  I am sure that I will feel like this for every one of Perry's birthdays.

Spring Break Fun

After we got back from Florida the kids had a couple days of school and then it was spring break.  We had fun exploring GR and luckily the weather was nice for most of it.

Project 52 -13, 14, 15, & 16/52

Kaden sporting his lobster hat and shark shirt.  This kids LOVES sea animals.

Chris took them for a ride in the wagon all the way around the block (not sure why Kaden & Emerson are wearing helmets).

Wii Time

Perry likes to wear a helmet just like Kaden and Emmy when they are riding their bikes and scooters.

I am all caught up on Project 52 now.  I don't know why it has been so difficult for me to post one picture a week.  Hopefully I will be able to keep up with it now that I am up to date.

Why you don't give a 1 year old a bowl that looks like a hat... (Project 52 -12/52)

Happy Easter!

We have never really established any traditions for Easter since some years we are on vacation and if we aren't on vacation our extended family may be.  This year we had just gotten back from Florida and we seemed to have bought the nice weather with us.  It was beautiful for Easter!  It ended up being 75 degrees and sunny.  On Good Friday we did a Easter egg hunt outside and it was 82 degrees!  On Easter we went to Blythfield with my parents and brothers after church.  It was a very nice brunch and they had a petty zoo set up outside for the kids.  Afterwards we headed home and the kids stayed busy most of the day with all of their new things from the Easter bunny.
